Servant Leadership Coin War Fundraiser

Hello Warrior Families,

The Servant Leadership team is trying to raise money to help a local family who lost everything in a house fire just over one week ago.  The Servant Leadership Team will be holding a “COIN WAR” at the school over the next two weeks. After the two weeks they will donate the money collected to the family in need. Each grade level will have a bucket in their classroom so they can drop the change into their bucket. The change will be collected at the end of each day by the servant leadership team who will track the totals. As an added motivator the grade level that collects the most change will earn a pizza party for their efforts.

Gift Cards

NEED GIFT CARDS?

The Athletic Boosters are continuing their project of selling gift cards. With the holidays approaching, we want to again stress this money-making project that we have. Many of you will be buying gift cards as gifts. The Athletic Boosters order gift cards from a company that allows us to keep some of the profit that the companies make when they sell you the gift cards. You receive the same gift cards that you would purchase at the stores. They cost you nothing more and you receive exactly the same value. The Athletic Boosters receive some of the profit and that profit goes towards the equipment and uniforms that we purchase for the school and our athletes.

Attached is a list of some of the gift cards that we are able to order, the denominations that they come in and the percent profit that we make. There are many others, totaling 760! If you don’t see what you want, check the scrip website online for the list. The list in available at www.glscrip.com. The link to the list is on the bottom of the opening page under quick links retailer list.

Beginning Nov.22, I will pick up orders at the school each Friday moming by 9 am. The orders usually arrive in 3 days. The last day to order is Dec.13. Use the order form below or send you order on another sheet of paper. The order and check made out to Warren Athletic Boosters can be sent to Kelly in the high school office, Sally in the elementary office or you can email me at [email protected] or call 815-745-3844 and then send your check to Kelly in the high school office. I also have quite a few gift cards on hand so call or email if you need a last minute gift. Thanks for helping the Athletic Boosters raise money for their projects!

Ordering gift cards through the Athletic Boosters give a percentage of the amount back to the boosters. It costs nothing extra for you but helps immensely to help fun Warren Schools Athletics. Download 1 MB

Post Prom Donations & Information

Parents of Junior/Senior students,

These are the exciting times for our students in High School. It’s time to get involved with Prom; please join us at our post prom meetings. Dates and times posted on the Warrior Facebook page, CUSD 205 web page, and all-calls. Meetings lasting an hour and would encourage new ideas to help make Post Prom fun and safe.

Previous meetings discussed donated items for the pop wagon, which include 2-liter pop, Gatorade, or fruit juice. Pop wagon items may be dropped off in the High School Office or St Ann Catholic Church (608 East Railroad Street) Other items for donation are listed for the Turkey Tournament with games running from November 13th through November 22nd, we also need parents and students to work the concession stand.

With 50/50 fading out, our Post Prom team thought of a new raffle idea. Using any amount lottery ticket donated by parents, which in turn will be framed for a raffle at the Turkey Tournament. Raffle tickets may be purchased for $5.00 and the Turkey Tournament (must be 18 years or older). The more lottery tickets donated the larger chances of winning the framed tickets. The tickets may be dropped off at St Ann’s Catholic Church with Monica McGivney (Tuesday – Friday from 8:00am – 4:00pm). Any questions please call Monica cell 815-541-4157, or Jen Pax 815-275-9164

Turkey Tournament Donations (drop off at St Ann Church)

  • Paper plates, forks, spoons, soup bowls, shredded cheese, cheese sauce, sour cream, bacon bits, salsa, shredded lettuce, diced onion, chips, hot dog buns (6 packages), hamburger buns (6 packages), BBQ Wings, crackers, ketchup, mustard, relish

Please help in any way, with more donations and support by parents the more memories will be made with our children at Warren High School.

Thank You,

Post Prom Committee
