Follow Up From Today’s Incident

First, from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank all of you for your flexibility and cooperation as we reacted on the side of caution looking out for the best interests of your children. While we learned things to improve this protocol, the flexibility of our local responders, teachers, students, parents, guardians, and community members made today flow as smooth as possible.

This message is to follow up from today’s evacuation. Our fire alarm went off this afternoon from the result of a science experiment in our high school wing. The air quality test came back perfectly normal and no one was exposed to any toxins as all safe materials were used during the experiment. The building was immediately evacuated as the fire alarm did go off, and students were safe at all times. With children outside and uncertainity of the situation of the building, we decided to escort students to the Community Building for shelter and a reunification point. All students were accounted for and arrived to their guardian safely.

It has been a hectic week, school will proceed on a normal schedule tomorrow. Once again, thank you and Go Warriors!
