Follow Up From Today’s Incident

First, from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank all of you for your flexibility and cooperation as we reacted on the side of caution looking out for the best interests of your children. While we learned things to improve this protocol, the flexibility of our local responders, teachers, students, parents, guardians, and community members made today flow as smooth as possible.

This message is to follow up from today’s evacuation. Our fire alarm went off this afternoon from the result of a science experiment in our high school wing. The air quality test came back perfectly normal and no one was exposed to any toxins as all safe materials were used during the experiment. The building was immediately evacuated as the fire alarm did go off, and students were safe at all times. With children outside and uncertainity of the situation of the building, we decided to escort students to the Community Building for shelter and a reunification point. All students were accounted for and arrived to their guardian safely.

It has been a hectic week, school will proceed on a normal schedule tomorrow. Once again, thank you and Go Warriors!

4/19: School Evacuation

Hello, this afternoon, we had a fire alarm go off from a science experiment on our second floor. We have evacuated the building and everyone is safe. Due to the smoke and odor in the building, we are taking the precaution to not reenter the building. Students have made their way to the Community Building. You may pick your student up from the Community Building, please find the classroom teacher, so we make sure all students stay accounted for. We will also run our bus schedule at 1:30 PM with students leaving the community building. Staff will be understanding if homework was left in the building, thank you for your cooperation.

4/18/18 Early Dismissal due to Weather

Due to the inclement weather, we will be dismissing school at 12:30 PM. Additionally, afternoon preschool and all after school activities are canceled. With the current road conditions, we will also not be sending home the morning preschool bus at the normal time. We will be sending home morning preschool at 12:30 PM along with the other students. Thank you for your flexibility as we look out for the safety of our students and staff.
