As the weather gets colder and the possibility of weather delays or closings increases, we’d like to encourage everyone to take a few minutes to update their contact and preferences in our instant-alert system, SchoolMessenger.
We automatically load the home phone number and email address given to us at registration into SchoolMessenger. You have the option to add other email addresses, phone numbers, or cell phone numbers for text messaging and set the preferences for which category of call should be sent to either contact.
Some common scenarios include:
- Add your daycare provider to receive a text if school is delayed or cancelled (don’t worry, they’ll only receive one message per alert – even if multiple people add them to their account).
- Add a grandparent (or other family member) who occasionally picks up or drops off your child to receive alerts.
- Add your work email.
- Add your cell phone as an SMS contact to receive text alerts instead of voice calls if you can’t always stop to listen to the audio message.

If you’re not sure if you’ve signed up in the past, Click Sign Up and try to sign up. It will let you know if you’ve already registered. If you have registered and don’t remember your password, use the “forgot password” link on the Log In page to have a password reset link sent to your email.
