Dear Parents,
Rather than have lots of questions circulating, I thought
it would be best to address this in a note and answer them directly:
- WHAT: - Tickets to see the Broadway musical “Wicked” –
the prequel to “The Wizard of Oz” in Chicago. There are presently 37 left of
the 45 that were purchased. My balance on the contract is due on September 10th,
so I am in a time crunch to get these tickets sold. First come, first serve,
as quickly as possible.
- WHEN: - Wednesday, December 8th. Students
will be given an advanced make-up, as it is a chorus “field trip,” and it will
not be counted as a day of absence.
- We will leave in the morning, by school bus, have lunch
at Navy Pier, see the 2 PM matinee, leave Chicago about 5:15 PM, have supper
at the Belvidere Oasis and return home between 8:30 PM and 9:00 PM.
- Cost - $50 per person – which includes ticket and bus.
Food costs are on your own. (2 fast food meals – but the one at Navy Pier
will be a little more expensive)
I have told the students that
when we do our cheesecake fundraiser in November, I will give them back $3 of
every $5 we make on the cheesecakes up to the price of the entire cost of their
ticket.
5. Because our tickets will be spread in different
areas of the balcony, all students in 6th-8th grade will
need to have an adult present. If you cannot personally attend, you must make
arrangements with the parents of someone who is attending.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call or
e-mail me – 745-2641, or
sgb@205warren.net.
Thanks!
