I am originally from the Peoria area (Morton and Yates City).

I attended Eastern Illinois University and graduated in May 2008. My major was social studies education with an emphasis on history and history. I also received my middle level certification.  I loved Eastern and everything that it has to offer its students! I spent my four of my five years working at the Taylor Hall front desk, which is the most amazing job for a college student. During my time at Eastern I student taught at both Atwood-Hammond Elementary and Sullivan High School. I also studied abroad at the University of Glamorgan in Wales during Fall semester 2005.

 The 2008/2009 school year was my first year teaching at Warren Jr./Sr. High School.

I got married on October 3, 2009.

I LOVE to travel - I have a goal to reach 5 continents and 20 countries in my lifetime. So far, I have not made it to that many places, but a girl can dream!!  I have been to three countries: Wales, England and France.

I follow celebrity gossip like it is my job. I wish I was joking about this one.

I LOVE musicals. Over the past few years I have seen Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, Rent, Legally Blonde: the musical, and Mamma Mia.

Currently, my favorite TV show is Glee, but I love many other shows....So You Think You Can Dance, America's Next Top Model, Law and Order: SVU, and almost anything on HGTV.

My favorite subject of the social sciences is history.

As a child, I always wanted to be a teacher, and it is great that I get to wake up and teach everyday!!!
