P.E.
PARENT LETTER August 23, 2010
Dear Parent and/or Guardian, I will be instructing your child this year in Physical Education. My goal is to present curricula that are enriching and motivating to all students at all fitness levels and abilities. Students can learn to make good lifetime health and fitness choices. Please check out my web pages on the school’s website @ www.205warren.net. Physical Education is a part of the total school curriculum, which uniquely focuses on the physical development of the child, while also addressing the emotional, intellectual and social needs of the child.
I need your permission to take your child off campus to participate in while developing their own
personal fitness profile. I use a
video camera, and take a lot of pictures for bulletin boards, projects, and authentic
assessment of skill development. I want my students to understand that fitness activities can bring a quality of life that money cannot buy. Physical Education activities should be fun. By understanding the curricula presented to them, they should be able to make good choices for a lifetime of physical activity.
Please read this brochure, the First Semester Outline and
Limited Participation Form. If your
son/daughter has an allergy to bee stings, asthma, or any health concerns
that I should know about, please contact me @ 745-2641. Please sign and detach the permission slip
and have your child return it>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> no later than Monday, August 30tth!! Sincerely for healthy active children, Mrs. Barker, Physical Education &
Strength Training Instructor
