Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) Workshop
Wednesday, July 20th
8:30am-3:30pm @ Warren High School - 311 S. Water St., Warren, IL

U of I Extension will be offering a Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) workshop that will be geared towards small farms looking to take the next step in their business and sell at more than just Farmerís Markets. This day long food safety training will give participants the information and knowledge they need to be prepared to follow through with 3rd party audits to satisfy GAP certification. Many farms that want to scale up to sell to grocery stores, restaurants, and other food buyers are asked to have a food safety plan in place or to be GAP certified. This program costs $20 per person attending which includes lunch provided by the Warren FFA Chapter.
